Arvind K. Vij
Founder Director & CEOThe conception of Illuminati has its roots in Arvind’s 14 + years of in-house experience with JPMorgan in Singapore, Mumbai and New York in dealing with a variety of vendors for legal, compliance and corporate secretarial temporary staffing as well as outsourcing standardized and commoditized legal work. Addressing the largely untapped opportunity in providing flexible, client focused, economical, onshore, offshore, part time & full time and dedicated or flexible staffing solutions and addressing the gap in quality legal outsourcing by harnessing the available pool of talented professionals in lower cost locations has been a long nurtured dream and goal for Arvind.
Most recently, Arvind was at JPMorgan as Managing Director & General Counsel for Offshoring & Outsourcing with specific responsibility for the Global Service Centers in India and Philippines. Arvind was responsible for legal and compliance support for all of JPMorgan’s offshoring & outsourcing activities globally. Arvind concurrently held the role of Global Head of Legal Entity Management, responsible for the governance, infrastructure, corporate secretarial support, data/information, regulatory reporting and board management for all of JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s affiliates & subsidiaries globally (15,000+).
Arvind is a highly accomplished global lawyer with extensive international legal experience in the areas of corporate, commercial, project finance, private equity, securities, off-shoring/outsourcing, governance, operations and legal entity management across industries as an in-house lawyer and in private practice. Arvind has developed and implemented processes to increase productivity while decreasing costs with a focus on off-shoring and outsourcing. Arvind has tremendous experience in setting up offshore legal and corporate secretarial Centers of Excellence that manage end-to- end vendor contracts as well as the governance, information/data and regulatory reporting of legal entities.
An energetic and highly effective leader with specialized skills developed to execute transactions, build Legal & Compliance teams and partner with business & corporate function leaders on legal matters and strategy in diverse geographies including Singapore, India, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, UK, Ireland, Luxembourg, Australia and the United States. Arvind has on the ground legal experience in Singapore, Mumbai and New York having lived in each of these cities for several years. Arvind was 1stresident legal country counsel for JPMorgan in India and part of the founding management team in setting up JPMorgan’s Global Service Center in Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Arvind was also 1st legal counsel for JPMorgan in the Philippines providing support from Mumbai and set up JPMorgan’s Global Service Center in Manila and Cebu.
Prior to his in-house counsel role at JPMorgan in Singapore, Mumbai and New York, Arvind practiced at Drew & Napier in Singapore gaining experience in Corporate, Commercial and Banking laws, Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in Singapore & New York specializing in Projects and Project Finance and Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts (now Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman) in Singapore & New York with a focus on US Securities and Private Equity transactions.
Arvind’s unique blend of multinational legal expertise coupled with business acumen has led to a proven history of partnering successfully with business leaders to complete deals and grow businesses in geographically dispersed regions.

Rajesh Narain Gupta
Senior AdvisorRajesh Narain Gupta has a vast experience in Corporate and Transactional matters including Litigation. His area of specialization includes Banking Laws and Practices, Commercial Laws, Real Estate Laws and Private Client Practice. Rajesh has been a pioneer in India in Succession and Estate Planning. He is an advisor to a number of foreign and Indian banks, financial institutions, corporate and industrial houses and real estate players and was retained by the Banking Industry to advice on the implementation of the procedural part of the Securitization & Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest (SARFAESI) Act, 2002. Rajesh was also a special invitee by the Indian Banks’ Association and the Reserve Bank of India in connection with the amendment of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.
Rajesh has contributed to legal research papers that have been published by leading dailies, law journals and reputed publications in India and abroad. Co-author of several books on Banking Laws and Practices, he has also been a Speaker at various forums in India and abroad on matters of legal significance.

Vice President – Business ManagerPipli has worked in the private wealth management and investment banking lines of businesses with JPMorgan Services India Private Limited for 8 years. After successfully transitioning to the legal arena with a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the Government Law College, Mumbai, she has been associated with Wadia Ghandy & Co. and Veritas Legal while working in the field of corporate commercial law. Pipli has also practiced under the supervision of experienced advocates in the field of litigation, especially personal laws and trusts at Bombay High Court, District and Sessions Courts, and the Family Courts of Mumbai and Thane. Pipli’s diverse work experience has helped her to build an expansive network across corporate circles and the legal fraternity.
